Beyond Blood & Bone

In between the ties that bind us close,

A poison seeps into the family rose.

Betrayal cuts deep and wounds our trust,

Leaving scars that linger and combust.

In moments of doubt and disbelief,

Kinship becomes our greatest thief.

Familiar faces become as foes,

As secrets and lies are disclosed.

Betrayal from within our clan,

Shatters the bond we thought would stand.

The hurt and pain cut like a knife,

As we struggle to navigate this strife.

The betrayal of a family member,

Is a wound that never quite can blur.

The pain echoes through generations,

Leaving a stain on all relations.

The trust we placed in blood and name,

Is now reduced to empty shame.

Betrayal tears apart our unity,

Leaving us adrift in a sea of ambiguity.

But even in the darkest of days,

Hope may be found amidst the familial maze.

With time and forgiveness, we may heal,

And rebuild the bonds that time can seal.

For family is more than just blood and bone,

It's a love that endures and carries us home.

And though betrayal may cause us to fall,

We can rise again, stronger and more whole.
